October is coming to a close and I can’t believe it. Time does fly! I have really enjoyed, and benefitted from, seeing what other moms and bloggers are finding each month to help them in their mothering and in their walk with the Lord. So, I thought I’d try putting together my top three things that have helped me in the month of October. I hope that they will help you too!

Music of the Month
Big Stories for Little Ones by Rain for Roots
This album is very mellow and easy to listen to, whether you’re in the car or working around the house. The lyrics are easy to understand and my daughter is already repeating some of them. And, my favorite part, they are all stories from the Bible! I love that each song points back to God’s hand in the story. It is a great way to start teaching these important Bible lessons to your little ones.
Book of the Month
The Biggest Story ABC Board Book by Kevin DeYoung
This book is wonderful for your young children! It is filled with truths from the Bible in easy sentences that correspond to each letter of the alphabet. We’ve recently started reading this every night for bed time and my daughter loves pointing to the flies and the hail from the Exodus pages. This board book goes through the whole Bible and ends with a yearning for Zion, the home that Jesus is preparing for us.
App of the Month
The Bible Memory App (Available for Apple and Android)
This app has been so helpful for me! It is a great tool to use when you want to memorize Scripture. You can select the verses you’d like to memorize and it will have you type the first letter of each word into your phone several times. Once you’ve mastered verses, the app will remind you to review them as you keep moving forward. I’ve loved using this app to work on my memorization. It’s so nice to have it on my phone. It’s convenient to pull out and practice a few verses whenever you have a free minute.
The free app will let you memorize 50 verses. You can purchase the Pro version to be able to add more verses to your library.
